RNA Biology

The mission of the Center for RNA Biology (CRB) is to develop and foster research activities in the broad area of RNA biology. Stacy Horner PhD, an Associate Professor in the Departments of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology and Medicine, directs the Center. Kate Meyer PhD, as Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, co-directs the Center.

The Center for RNA Biology fosters research activities and community in RNA biology at Duke. It supports research and training related to RNA by providing an intellectual and educational home for research on RNA, activities and an environment to foster cross-departmental, multi-disciplinary collaboration, a training and educational hub for RNA biology, physical resources to support RNA-related research, and a commitment to DEI through outreach, mentoring, and training. In addition, the Center coordinates activities with RNA colleagues from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NIEHS, and North Carolina State University.
