Julia was born and raised in Wilmington, North Carolina. She completed her undergraduate degree at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2021. She is excited to be studying the host-microbiota interactions of transcriptional factors in the gut. Her interests include listening to music, knitting, and hanging out with friends.
