Maggie Morash and Matt Tillman Awarded NIH Fellowships

Two members of John Rawls’ lab were recently awarded NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein Individual NRSA Fellowships.

Maggie Morash, a MGM/MSTP graduate student in Dr. Rawls’ lab, was awarded a F30 NRSA to support her research into how enteroendocrine cells within the gut epithelium sense and adapt to nutritional and microbial stimuli.

Matt Tillman, a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Rawls’ lab, was awarded a F32 NRSA to support his research into how gut microbiota interact with the host transcription factor HNF4A to influence differentiation of the gut epithelium.
