Evon DeBose-Scarlett Wins Best Presentation Award at HHT Conference

MGM student Evon DeBose-Scarlett's abstract was chosen for an oral presentation at the 15th Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia International Scientific Conference that just took place in Mandelieu-la-Napoule, France.

Evon's talk stood out, and she was awarded Best Basic Science Oral Presentation. Congratulations, Evon!

The HHT International Scientific Conference is held every other year and is the main conference for HHT research. There were over 350 scientists and physicians from more than 20 countries who attended the meeting, and 3 and a half days of oral and poster presentations.

The work that Evon described in her talk was recently published in the American Journal of Human Genetics. See "Evon DeBose-Scarlett in the Marchuk Lab is Closing in on the Causes of a Dangerous Bleeding Disorder".
