My study is to find novel antifungal drug targets and develop antifungal drugs. In our laboratory, we discovered and constructed the phenome data and functional analysis of the pathogenic related transcription factor, kinase and phosphatase in basidiomycete Cryptococcus neoformans as a pathogenic fungal model. Based on these functional studies, I am interested in kinases, and through a functional genomic approach, I am revealing the signaling mechanisms related to pathogenic regulation and suggesting new drug targets.
