Paul M. Magwene is Professor in the Departments of Biology and Molecular Genetics and Microbiology. Research in the Magwene laboratory sits at the interface between evolutionary genetics and genomics, systems biology, and computational biology and bioinformatics. His lab studies natural variation and evolution of virulence related traits, and the gene networks that underlie such traits, in both pathogenic and model fungi. He previously served as the director of the graduate program in Computational Biology & Bioinformatics.
