MGM faculty Jennifer Lodge, who is also Duke's Vice President for Research and Innovation, recently visited Washington, DC, to meet with policymakers and discuss the scientific, economic and societal value of investing in research at Duke and higher education more broadly.
When Duke research is developed and spun out into companies in North Carolina, Lodge said the new companies bring positive economic benefits to the state, including additional jobs for North Carolinians.
