Rick Bushman, PhD
Frederic Bushman is the W. M. Measey Professor and Chair of Microbiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Bushman received his bachelor's degree from Amherst College, and his PhD from Harvard University. His research centers on genomics of host/microbe interactions, with specific projects on the human virome, Coronaviruses, HIV, and human genome modification. Dr. Bushman has published over 400 research papers, which have been cited over 100,000 times. He enjoys photography, chess, and spending time with his family, including dachshunds Gus and Oscar.
