Research Interests:
My current research goal is to investigate the proteins and mechanisms involved in anchoring the contractile ring during fission yeast cytokinesis. Previously, I have also studied endocytosis and hyphal growth in filamentous fungi, as well as plant pathogen identification and diagnostics.

Personal Interests:
I love traveling (especially to the beach!), learning new skills, assembling or repairing microscopes, and playing fantasy football. I also have two dogs (Riley and Lilly) who love taking cross-country road trips with me to visit family in Texas, or to follow my favorite band (Sister Hazel) on tour!
