I am broadly interested in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Huntington’s diseases and their treatment/prevention. I also have strong interests in structural biology and protein chemistry. My project in the Scaglione Lab includes investigating the structure and function of SRCP1, a Dictyostelium discoideum-specific chaperone that imparts resistance to polyglutamine aggregation.
