Research interests: Pathogen-host cell cross-talk and protective immunity
I grew up in Bangladesh and attended the University of Dhaka where I majored in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. While doing my master’s there, I worked in the icddr,b for my thesis project. Later I joined their immunology lab to work on T-cell responses in cholera. In 2009, I came to Boston as a research fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital to work on vaccine development.
My research interests are pathogen-host cell cross-talk and protective immunity. I am currently working on the role of mast cells against infections as well as in vaccination. Outside my labwork, I like photography and hiking.
