Research Interest: I graduated from Penn State with a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology in 2018. During my time there, I worked in the Kathleen Postle’s lab studying iron uptake in E. coli as a potential antibiotic target. After entering Duke through the cell and molecular biology program, I ultimately joined David Tobin’s lab in the MGM department, where we study mycobacterial and host factors in disease progression using zebrafish as a model system.
Personal Interests: Currently I am chipping away at my goal of hiking all of the trails at the Eno River State Park. My other hobbies include playing piano, enjoying musical theatre, learning to cook new things, and sampling the local wine and coffee scenes.
