Research Interest: I grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, and earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Microbiology & Immunology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2014. As an undergraduate, I pursued my growing interested in virology and joined the lab of Dr. Andrew Mehle. There, I spent my final two years exploring the molecular requirements of influenza A polymerase subunit PB2. Following graduation, I became a laboratory technician in the lab of Dr. Thomas P. Loughran, Jr. at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where I studied the biology of large granular lymphocyte leukemia for four years.
Personal Interests: When I’m not in the lab, I enjoy running, reading, taking care of my house plants, and hanging out with my bluetick coonhound, Maddie.
