Research Interests:
I was born and raised in Mentor, Ohio. I moved to North Carolina to attend High Point University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 2016. During my time there, I worked in an entomology lab and a synthetic organic chemistry lab. This experience led me to pursue my PhD in the MGM program at Duke due to its interdisciplinary labs and curriculum.

In 2017, I joined the Alspaugh lab, which studies the human pathogenic fungus Cryptococcus neoformans. I am particularly interested in understanding the genetic basis of virulence, as well as pathogenesis from the perspectives of both the fungus and the host.

Personal Interests:
I enjoy being active, eating, and cooking in my free time.
