Research Interests: I joined UPGG program in 2011. I am currently in Dr. Ashley Chi’s lab and investigate whether cellular metabolism can affect mitotic fidelity. We found that CoA depletion can trigger a series of events to lead to multi-nucleation in cancer cells. I am trying to map the pathways and mechanisms leading to the phenotype. Before coming to Duke, I received a B.A. and M.S. degree in genetics and genomics at National Yang-Ming University in Taiwan. I worked on the molecular mechanism of genetic variations on the susceptibility of uremia. After graduation, I worked at Academia Sinica in Taiwan, focusing on the ion channels which can change mouse behavior.
