CMB/MGM Graduate Student (2017)
CARL 277

Research Interests:

I grew up in Pomfret Maryland, just south of D.C. then went on to study Biochemistry at Penn State University. After graduating I joined Duke through the CMB program in 2017 before affiliating with MGM. I joined Doug Marchuk’s lab in the Division of Human Genetics where we study the genetic basis of vascular malformations, including Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT), Cerebral Cavernous Malformation (CCM), Sturge-Weber syndrome (SWS), and stroke. I study the pathogenesis of HHT and the mutations that lead to arteriovenous malformations.

Personal Interests:

When I am not in lab I can be found reading/listening to books, stalking the local ciderworks, and playing with cats.
