Research

Dana Sisk graduated from North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Sociology. After obtaining her degree, she worked as a genomics and toxicology research assistant in the lab of Dr. Russell Thomas at the Hamner Institutes for Health Sciences before returning to North Carolina State University and obtaining a master’s degree in Animal Science with a concentration in Genomics, and a minor in Biotechnology. Dana is currently serving as a research scientist and the zebrafish facility manager in the Tobin lab, where her research is focused on the underlying causes of susceptibility to tuberculosis.
