Honer awarded an ICAAC 2016 Young Investigator Award

Durham, NC – Durham, NC – Stacy Horner, PhD an assistant professor in the Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology at Duke University Medical Center, was selected by the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) to receive the 2016 ICAAC Young Investigator Award. Supported in part by an unrestricted educational grant from Merck, U.S. Human Health Division, since 1983, the ICAAC Young Investigator Awards recognize and reward early career scientists for research excellence and potential in microbiology and infectious diseases.
Horner has demonstrated outstanding creativity in the study virus-host interactions and will be recognized at the ASM Microbe 2016 conference to be held in Boston, Massachusetts, which will take place from June 16–20, 2016.
