Chen and Yang Receive 2007 Dean's Summer Research Fellowships
Durham, N.C. (March 2007) – Lydia Chen and Julie Yang, undergraduate students in the Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology at the Duke University Medical Center, have been invited to participate in the Dean's Summer Fellowship Program. in support of undergraduate research and inquiry in the arts and sciences this summer.
The goals of the Dean's Summer Fellowship Program are to strengthen undergraduate research opportunities for Trinity College undergraduates, to enlarge the scope of undergraduate research conducted on and off campus during the summer, and to provide support to enable undergraduates to extend the period over which they engage in research. Chen and Yang's research projects for the program will be completed with their mentors, Chao Xue and Jen Reedy respectively, in the Heitman lab. |
