Walton Receives Edward C. Horn Memorial Prize

Durham, N.C. (May 2007) – Felicia Walton, an undergraduate student majoring in biology and chemistry at Duke University, was awarded the Edward C. Horn Memorial Prize for Excellence in Biology.

This prize is given each year to a graduating biology major, who has shown, in the opinion of the biology faculty, the highest level of academic achievement and promise.   The prize is offered in memory of Professor Edward C. Horn and is a tribute to his high regard for students and faculty and his appreciation of scholarly excellence.

Walton's name will be listed as an awardee in the official graduation book published by the University.   In addition, her achievement will be recognized at the biology diploma ceremony on Sunday, May 13, 2007.
