Steinbach Receives 2005 Dade Behring MicroScan Young Investigator Award

November 2004 — William Steinbach, MD, an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Infectious Diseases at the Duke University Medical Center, was selected by the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) to receive the 2005 Dade Behring MicroScan Young Investigator Award. The Dade Behring MicroScan Young Investigator Award recognizes research excellence and potential to further the educational or research objectives of an outstanding young clinical scientist.

Steinbach’s clinical interests currently focus on immunocompromised pediatric patients, especially children with invasive fungal infections. He will be recognized during the ASM General Meeting Awards Dinner on Monday, June 6, 2005 in Atlanta, Georgia.
