Perfect Receives Research Mentoring Award for Translational Research

Durham N.C. (May 2009) — John R. Perfect, MD, Professor in the
Department of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases received the Research Mentoring Award for Translational Research at the 2009 Spring Faculty Meeting on May 7, 2009 at the Doris Duke Center.

The Research Mentoring Awards, established in 2009, recognize faculty members of the Schools of Medicine and Nursing with long-standing excellence in research mentoring. Excellence can be demonstrated in various ways, including accomplishments of individual mentees, programs implemented by the mentor, or by exceptional creativity in mentoring.
