I received my PhD from Goerg-August-University of Goettingen (Germany), where I studied Extra-Cellular Matrix (ECM) proteins in basidiomycete's development, using Coprinopsis cinerea as model system. I have recently joined the Heitman lab to gain experience working with the pathogenic fungus Cryptococcus neoformans, in which I will be looking for sporespecific proteins and their influence on virulence.
