Xiaorong Lin

I received my B.E. and M.E. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Dalian University of Technology and the Chinese Academy of Science respectively, in China. I then developed an interest in biology, and particularly, in fungal developmental biology. My Ph.D. training was focused on the characterization of polarized growth in the filamentous fungus Aspergillus nidulans in Dr. Michelle Momany’s lab at the University of Georgia. Now, I am studying morphogenesis and development of Cryptococcus neoformans. I am currently supported as a fellow of the Molecular Mycology and Pathogenesis Training Program (MMPTP).
