Center for Microbial Pathogenesis

Tina provides overall administrative direction, management and coordination of the functions for the Center of Microbial Pathogenesis. Tina works closely with the Center's Director, Dr. Joseph Heitman as well as the departmental business manager and the administrative staff of each of the aligned laboratories in other departments (Medicine, Biochemistry, Biology, and Pathology) to coordinate the research, recruiting, teaching, and funding missions of the Center.

Tina has been with Duke University Medical Center since 1986 and worked in the Department of Genetics (Howard Hughes Medical Institute) from 1999 to 2002 as Dr. Heitman's Administrative Assistant. Tina rejoined the Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology on February 20, 2006.
