Research Interest: Potential use of microsporidian parasites to retard evolution of insecticide resistance in malaria mosquito vectors.
I am a second-year student in the MGM graduate program. I was born and raised in Singapore and, therefore, have a deep appreciation for good food. I received my BSc from Imperial College London. I did my undergraduate final year research project under the guidance of Professor Jacob Koella, where I investigated the potential use of microsporidian parasites to retard evolution of insecticide resistance in malaria mosquito vectors. My other biology-related experiences include a volunteer scientific conservation expedition in the jungles of Sulawesi, Indonesia, and a summer internship at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, Singapore.
Outside of the lab, I enjoy reading, painting and horseback riding.
